Hello,
This is a project organized by the Climate Institute www.climate.org which is to help campuses become more environmentally friendly by linking them together and having them share their experiences. Our hope is that schools can learn from each other; you can see what works and what doesn't work, what is hard and what is (relatively) easy. Sharing success and failure stories are important on the road of learning and of action. Here you can see who is making a difference and how you can make a difference too!
If you are part of a school, please sign up with your institution's name; for instance a biodiesel group at MIT is named Biodiesel@MIT. To see the forum click on the forum hyperlink on the left. It would also be great if you included a description of your green efforts on campus in your profile and perhaps a link to your website if you have one. Additionally, if you could just copy and paste that same information in the schools forum, it would create a useful resource for all. Individuals may also sign up; the more people interested in a greener world, the better!
We realize some forums to this extent exist, mainly Campus Activist's page http://www.campusactivism.org/phpBB2/ and Brown's listserve http://listserv.brown.edu/archives/grnsch-l.html. However, the first covers the general environment and is mainly for students and the later is more of an administrative mailing list. Additional links to a sustainable campus can be found at http://www.climate.org/topics/links/greencampus/index.shtml . We hope to make this forum an organized, free, informational resource, that allows anyone to gain knowledge necessary to make their campus greener.
